About the role
Red Hat is hiring Software Quality Engineering Interns to join its Global Engineering organization in Pune. Responsibilities
- Research new product features and design comprehensive test cases
- Execute manual and automated test suites for enterprise software
- Identify, reproduce, document, and report software defects
- Collaborate with Software Engineering, Product Management, Documentation, and QE teams
- Communicate testing progress, quality metrics, and release readiness
- Validate bug fixes and ensure product stability before releases
- Contribute to improving software quality processes and testing strategies
- Collaborate with the global open-source community and engineering teams
Requirements
- 2026 or 2027 batch
- Currently pursuing the final year of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline
- Basic understanding of software testing methodologies and quality engineering concepts
- Knowledge of Python, Golang, or similar programming languages
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
- Passion for software quality, debugging, and continuous improvement
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work effectively in collaborative engineering teams
- Curiosity to understand how systems work internally
- Must be authorized to work without current or future visa sponsorship
