Responsibilities
- Work as an individual contributor or as part of software engineering project teams.
- Apply software engineering and analytical skills to real business problems.
- Build and improve engineering skills through hands-on project work.
- Contribute to projects involving cloud platforms, big data platforms, application development, and related technologies.
- Work with Cargill's global Digital Technology & Data organization.
- Apply programming, systems analysis, system design, and database knowledge to assigned projects.
- Collaborate with team members and cross-functional partners.
- Work under mentorship and receive ongoing performance feedback.
- Learn about Cargill's businesses and technology organization.
- Participate in learning activities, leadership events, and networking opportunities.
- Collaborate with Digital Technology and Data leaders and fellow interns.
- Complete other software engineering duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology.
- Major should be in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, AI, Machine Learning, Cybersecurity, Computing, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Must be graduating with the degree in June 2027.
- Must obtain approval from the educational institution to complete a 5-6 month internship.
- Must be available from early January 2027 through the end of June 2027.
- Must be geographically flexible and willing to work onsite multiple days per week at Cargill's Bengaluru Capability Center.
- Knowledge of basic structured programming.
- Knowledge of systems analysis and design.
- Knowledge of database design.
- Understanding of basic business concepts.
- High degree of initiative and resourcefulness.
- Ability to complete work with limited guidance.
- Ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
