Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and debug software applications using OOPs, Python, and Java.
- Develop and maintain embedded software for GE Vernova products.
- Collaborate with embedded engineers and cross-functional teams to integrate software with hardware components.
- Follow coding standards, software development processes, and industry best practices.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Perform software verification and validation activities.
- Help ensure product quality, reliability, and compliance with development standards.
- Document software designs, requirements, and test procedures.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and trends in embedded systems.
- Provide technical support to other teams when required.
- Work with databases including Timeseries, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
- Apply problem-solving and debugging techniques to resolve software issues.
- Collaborate effectively with teams working across different technical disciplines.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 1+ year of hands-on software development experience.
- Proficiency in Python.
- Proficiency in Core Java.
- Strong understanding of OOPs concepts.
- Experience working with databases such as Timeseries, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or similar technologies.
- Exposure to Data Science and Machine Learning algorithms.
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle and development methodologies.
- Familiarity with Agile practices, JIRA, Sprint, and Confluence.
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Good communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
