About the role
L&T Technology Services is hiring Software Engineers for its D&DC Land Systems division. This opportunity is open to 2023, 2024, 2025, and 2026 graduates with strong programming fundamentals in C/C++ and operating systems. Engineers will work on embedded software, distributed systems, communication protocols, and mission-critical defense applications.
Responsibilities
- Develop software using C and C++ for embedded and distributed systems
- Work with Linux, VxWorks, and QNX operating systems
- Design and implement tools to accelerate software development and debugging
- Develop applications in multi-threaded and multi-process environments
- Analyze system scalability and perform root cause analysis for complex issues
- Participate in debugging and resolving issues reported from customer deployments
- Design and implement built-in diagnostics and testing utilities
- Develop distributed architecture systems with inter-process communication
- Work with communication interfaces including Serial, Ethernet, CAN, ModBus, NMEA, and MIL-STD-1553
- Implement and troubleshoot IP protocols, VLANs, and Ethernet switching
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams throughout the software lifecycle
Requirements
- BE/B.Tech in a relevant engineering discipline
- 2023, 2024, 2025, or 2026 batch
- 0-2 years of experience
- Freshers are eligible to apply
- Strong programming skills in C and C++
- Strong understanding of Linux, VxWorks, and operating system fundamentals
- Experience with multithreading and multiprocessing concepts
- Knowledge of inter-process communication mechanisms
- Understanding of distributed system architecture
- Knowledge of networking concepts including IP protocols, VLANs, and Ethernet switching
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a team environment
