About the role
Amazon is hiring Software Development Engineers (TEMP) to work on challenging technology problems and build products, features, and services that impact millions of customers, sellers, and products worldwide. Key Responsibilities: * Design software solutions. * Write and maintain production-quality code. * Participate in full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). * Develop and test software applications. * Solve complex technical problems and work effectively in an environment with rapidly changing requirements. Basic Qualifications: * Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field at the time of application. * Familiarity with Java, C, C++, or Python. * Knowledge of Computer Science fundamentals including object-oriented design, algorithm design, data structures, problem solving, and complexity analysis. Preferred Qualifications: * Previous internship experience. * Experience with distributed systems, multi-tiered systems, algorithms, and relational databases. * Knowledge of optimization mathematics such as linear programming and nonlinear optimization. * Ability to clearly communicate technical challenges and solutions. * Ability to handle ambiguous or undefined problems and think abstractly.
