About the role
Rupeek is hiring a Software Development Engineer – I to build scalable backend systems and impactful fintech products. The role is ideal for engineers with strong programming fundamentals and experience developing modern distributed applications.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable backend services
- Build and maintain REST APIs and microservices
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams
- Debug, optimize, and improve software performance
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 1+ years of software development experience
- Strong proficiency in Java, Kotlin, Python, Go, or similar object-oriented languages
- Strong understanding of Data Structures, Algorithms, and OOP concepts
- Experience building scalable backend systems, REST APIs, and microservices
- Knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases and Git
- Familiarity with AWS, GCP, or Azure, Docker, and CI/CD is a plus
- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced product-driven fintech environment
