About the role
PEEKO is building India's first rapid commerce platform dedicated to babycare, offering 30-minute delivery of a hyper-localized and curated assortment of baby apparel and essentials. Founded in May 2025 and backed by a large Series A round from a Tier 1 VC fund, PEEKO is looking for early teammates who are highly motivated, ownership-driven, and excited to build products in a fast-paced startup environment. The Software Developer role is suited for candidates with backend development experience who are willing to work with frontend technologies such as React, JavaScript, and TypeScript and grow into full-stack engineering roles. Responsibilities
- Participate in the complete software development lifecycle, including brainstorming, architecture, design, implementation, quality assurance, and delivery.
- Contribute to architecture decisions, technical trade-offs, and feature prioritization.
- Develop features for PEEKO's existing platform and new services.
- Build and deliver reliable software and services in collaboration with Product Managers and other team members.
- Work on backend systems while contributing to frontend development using React, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- Continuously improve product quality, performance, and customer experience.
- Take ownership of assigned projects and drive them through to completion.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced agile environment.
- Analyze technology trade-offs and make practical engineering decisions.
- Use AI-driven development approaches to improve engineering productivity and product development.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a similar discipline / B.E. from a Tier 1 college.
- Eligible colleges include IITs, BITS Pilani, NIT Warangal, NIT Surathkal, NIT Trichy, DTU, and Thapar.
- Graduated in 2023 or later.
- Experience in backend development.
- Willingness to work with React, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- Interest in growing into a full-stack engineering role.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated and proactive approach.
- Ability to work effectively in agile environments.
- Understanding of coding discipline required for large-scale, high-quality consumer applications.
