About the role
Rippling is hiring Senior Software Engineers for its AI Platform team. The role focuses on building foundational AI infrastructure that powers AI capabilities across Rippling's HR, IT, Finance, Payroll, Benefits, Recruiting, Compliance, and Workforce Management products. Engineers will build AI agents, workflow automation systems, evaluation frameworks, data pipelines, and scalable backend platform services while working closely with product, infrastructure, and engineering teams. Responsibilities
- Build foundational AI platform systems
- Develop AI agents and workflow automation platforms
- Build evaluation systems, feedback loops, and data pipelines
- Design scalable backend and platform services
- Own features from design to production
- Participate in code reviews, debugging, and production support
- Collaborate with Product, Infrastructure, and Engineering teams
Requirements
- 5-8 years of software engineering experience
- Strong hands-on coding experience
- Experience with Python, Java, Go, C++, Scala, Kotlin, or C#
- Strong system design and distributed systems knowledge
- Experience building scalable backend/platform systems
- Knowledge of APIs, databases, concurrency, and observability
- Ability to work in fast-paced and ambiguous environments
