About the role
Tailored AI is hiring SDE 1s in Bangalore for candidates with 0-2 years of software engineering experience. As an SDE 1, you will take ownership of a core product track and work end-to-end on production-grade AI-powered systems. Depending on project requirements and interests, you may work across backend APIs, frontend integrations, data pipelines, or AI workflows. The role is highly customer-facing, requiring engineers to understand real-world business requirements, interact with clients, and build solutions that deliver measurable outcomes. You will collaborate closely with senior engineers and founders on system design, implementation, and product decisions while gaining hands-on exposure to AI applications across HR Tech, Legal Tech, and EdTech. Responsibilities
- Own and drive the development of a key product track end-to-end.
- Build backend APIs, frontend integrations, data pipelines, or AI workflows based on project requirements.
- Collaborate with senior engineers and founders on system design and implementation strategy.
- Interact directly with clients to understand requirements and real-world constraints.
- Design and build production-grade software solutions powered by AI.
- Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code.
- Contribute to deploying and improving production systems.
- Participate in code reviews and technical discussions.
- Continuously improve engineering practices through mentorship and hands-on work.
- Suggest and implement initiatives that improve company and product processes.
Requirements
- B.Tech or M.Tech in Computer Science or a related field.
- 0-2 years of software engineering experience.
- Strong Python programming skills.
- Strong backend development fundamentals.
- Curiosity about system design and Artificial Intelligence.
