Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Java and related frameworks.
- Enhance and modify the existing Java Automation Suite to improve test coverage and efficiency.
- Create test scripts from scratch based on requirements and workflows.
- Work closely with developers and product owners to understand features and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Perform functional, regression, and integration testing for telecom applications.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using GitLab.
- Identify, document, and track defects using Jira.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve quality standards and testing processes.
- Perform unit, integration, API, and end-to-end testing.
- Validate data using SQL across supported databases.
- Support performance, scalability, and load testing activities.
- Test applications running in containerized environments.
- Test event-driven applications using Apache Kafka.
- Leverage AI tools for test generation, defect analysis, and testing efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience.
- Strong understanding of Telecom Business Support Systems (BSS), including order management, billing, charging, and customer care.
- Experience testing complex microservices-based architectures.
- Experience developing and maintaining automated test suites.
- Proficiency with JUnit, TestNG, Selenium, Cucumber, Postman/Newman, or Rest-Assured.
- Hands-on experience testing REST, SOAP, and gRPC APIs.
- Ability to write and execute SQL queries for data validation.
- Experience with MySQL/PostgreSQL, Couchbase, and Elasticsearch.
- Familiarity with performance and load testing methodologies.
- Basic understanding of Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience testing applications using Apache Kafka.
- Proficiency in defect management and reporting using tools such as Jira.
- Familiarity with Git for managing test assets.
- Practical experience using AI tools for software testing.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced Agile environment.
