About the role
NTT DATA is hiring Junior Test Engineers to support enterprise-scale data migration and modernization initiatives. You'll validate large-scale ETL pipelines, Snowflake and Databricks implementations, dbt transformations, and cloud data platforms while ensuring high-quality software delivery through comprehensive testing practices. Responsibilities
- Execute SQL-based data validation between source and target systems
- Validate ETL workflows across Informatica, Databricks, Snowflake, and dbt
- Perform row count, schema, aggregate, and data consistency validations
- Execute functional, regression, and integration testing
- Validate CDC and incremental data loads
- Identify, log, and track defects using JIRA or Azure DevOps
- Support root cause analysis with development teams
- Monitor data pipelines and validate downstream reports
- Maintain test cases, execution reports, and validation documentation
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and defect triage meetings
Requirements
- 2-4 years of Software Testing or Quality Assurance experience
- At least 2 years of Data Warehouse or ETL testing experience
- Strong SQL skills for complex data validation
- Experience with Snowflake, Databricks, or similar cloud data platforms
- Exposure to Informatica mappings and workflows
- Knowledge of dbt model validation
- Understanding of data warehouse concepts including facts, dimensions, and SCDs
- Experience with JIRA, Azure DevOps, TestRail, or qTest
- Strong analytical and debugging skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
