Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Java-based backend applications.
- Build scalable microservices and REST APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
- Analyze business and functional requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Develop clean, maintainable, efficient, and testable code.
- Work with relational databases such as Oracle and SQL-based systems.
- Implement data-access layers using JPA and Hibernate.
- Troubleshoot application issues and perform root-cause analysis.
- Optimize application performance and database queries.
- Write and maintain unit tests using JUnit and Mockito.
- Participate in code reviews and follow software engineering best practices.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and development activities.
- Support application deployment and production issues.
- Collaborate with business, QA, DevOps, architecture, and product teams.
- Contribute to technical design and architecture discussions.
- Maintain technical documentation and development standards.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to engineering best practices where required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 3-6 years of relevant Java backend development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java, preferably Java 17 or Java 21.
- Strong experience with Spring and Spring Boot.
- Experience developing Microservices and REST APIs.
- Strong knowledge of Core Java, Collections, Multithreading, JVM, OOP, and Design Patterns.
- Experience with JPA/Hibernate.
- Strong SQL and relational database knowledge, particularly Oracle/RDBMS.
- Experience with JUnit and Mockito for unit testing.
- Experience with Maven or Gradle.
- Experience with Git and Linux/Unix environments.
- Knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
