About the role
IndependenceOS is hiring a Founding Software Engineer (AI) in Delhi NCR. The role is focused on building AI/ML-powered applications and production-ready software in an early-stage startup environment. The engineer will work across AI, backend, and product engineering while taking end-to-end ownership. Requirements: • Strong software engineering fundamentals and problem-solving skills. • Experience building AI/ML-powered applications and production-ready software. • Strong proficiency in Python and modern backend technologies. • Experience with LLMs, AI agents, APIs, RAG, or Generative AI is preferred. • Good understanding of data structures, algorithms, system design, and databases. • Experience with cloud platforms, Docker, Git, and deployment workflows. • Ability to work across the AI + backend/product stack and take end-to-end ownership. • Comfortable working in an early-stage startup with high autonomy.
