Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) Intern
About the role
Revrag AI Technology Pvt. Ltd. is hiring Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) Interns to work at the intersection of product, AI, and implementation. As an FDE Intern, you will work under the guidance of Senior FDEs to build AI agents from scratch, optimize prompts and conversation flows, work directly with customer teams, and deploy real AI systems into production environments. The internship is for 6 months and is full-time, with a pre-placement offer (PPO) based on performance. HOW TO APPLY: Apply through the Google Form.
Responsibilities
- Under the guidance of Senior FDEs, build and prepare AI agents from scratch for multiple use cases.
- Write, iterate, and optimize prompts and conversation flows for Voice and In-App AI Agents.
- Work directly with customer teams to understand technical requirements and constraints.
- Deploy and integrate Revrag AI's Voice and In-App AI Agents into customer environments.
- Write production-ready code for integrations, data pipelines, and custom workflows.
- Test and evaluate agents thoroughly before deployment, validating quality against real scenarios and edge cases.
- Troubleshoot and debug agents in live environments with real user impact.
- Create documentation, runbooks, and hand-off materials for repeatability.
- Surface customer feedback and field signals to influence product direction.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Python and core software engineering fundamentals.
- Experience consuming or building REST APIs through projects or coursework.
- Familiarity with web frameworks such as Flask, FastAPI, or Django.
- Basic understanding of SQL and relational databases.
- Ability to debug issues and reason about system behavior in unfamiliar environments.
- Foundational understanding of how large language models work and their limitations.
- Curiosity about prompt experimentation using OpenAI, Anthropic, or other APIs.
- Interest in practical AI evaluation beyond accuracy, including reliability, consistency, and business impact.
- Willingness to learn concepts such as temperature, tokens, context windows, and fine-tuning.
- Ability to break down ambiguous problems into executable steps.
- Data-driven mindset for validating decisions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High learning agility and comfort with rapid iteration.
