About the role

Snabbit is hiring a Data Scientist in Bangalore. The role involves building, evaluating, and deploying machine learning models, working with large datasets, and solving ambiguous business problems through structured data science approaches. What We're Looking For: * Experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related quantitative field. * Strong proficiency in Python and hands-on experience with Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, and similar ML frameworks. * Strong SQL skills and experience working with large datasets. * Hands-on experience in building, training, evaluating, and deploying machine learning models. * Good understanding of statistics, probability, hypothesis testing, and experimentation. * Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms and ability to select appropriate approaches. * Experience taking models from experimentation/prototyping to production is a plus. * Ability to translate ambiguous business problems into structured data science problems. Good to Have: * Deep Learning (PyTorch / TensorFlow), NLP, Transformer-based models, LLMs, or GenAI applications. * Model fine-tuning, evaluation, and optimization. * Consumer-tech, marketplace, e-commerce, or hyperlocal environment experience. * BigQuery, Snowflake, dbt, Tableau, or Looker. * Forecasting, recommendation systems, customer segmentation, or optimization experience.

Responsibilities

• Build, train, evaluate, and deploy machine learning models.
• Work with large datasets using Python and SQL.
• Conduct statistical analysis, hypothesis testing, and experimentation.
• Select appropriate machine learning approaches for business problems.
• Translate ambiguous business problems into structured data science problems.
• Take models from experimentation and prototyping toward production.
• Work on forecasting, recommendation systems, customer segmentation, and optimization problems.

Requirements
