About the role
Bright Money is hiring a Data Science Intern for its Data Sciences team in Bangalore. The role involves working with real-world data to identify patterns, generate insights, and support data-driven business and product decisions. Interns will gain hands-on experience in data analysis, machine learning, and statistical modeling while collaborating with cross-functional teams. What You Will Do: * Assist in collecting, cleaning, and preprocessing data from various sources. * Perform exploratory data analysis to identify insights and trends. * Support the development and implementation of machine learning algorithms and predictive models. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements. * Create data visualizations and reports to communicate findings to stakeholders. * Stay updated with data science advancements and contribute innovative ideas to ongoing projects. Ideal Candidate Profile: * Pursuing or completed a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field. * Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms and techniques. * Strong proficiency in Python or R. * Familiarity with Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, and other data analysis libraries. * Strong understanding of statistical concepts and techniques. * Knowledge of SQL or other database querying languages. * Experience with Matplotlib, Seaborn, or Tableau is preferred. * Familiarity with Hadoop or Spark is a plus. * Familiarity with Generative AI technologies is a plus. * Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced team environment.
