About the role
Microsoft is hiring Data Science Interns to work on real-world projects using machine learning, statistics, experiments, algorithms, and data to build and improve products and generate actionable business insights.
Responsibilities
- Formulate approaches to solve problems using algorithms and data sources
- Understand product functionality and customer perspectives
- Use data exploration techniques to discover new questions and opportunities
- Interpret and validate analysis results
- Monitor, analyze, and iterate to continuously improve solutions
- Produce clear and actionable insights for product and service improvements
- Participate in peer reviews and apply feedback
- Learn and apply innovative methods, algorithms, and tools
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Doctorate Degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or a related field
- Must have at least one additional quarter/semester remaining after completion of the internship
- Preferred: Currently pursuing a Master's degree in a related field
