Responsibilities
- Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for functional, regression, API, and integration testing.
- Create reusable automation components and keep test assets aligned with application changes.
- Review user stories and acceptance criteria and identify test scenarios and test data requirements.
- Execute manual and automated tests and document results with clear evidence.
- Log reproducible defects with appropriate severity and supporting details.
- Retest fixes and participate in root cause discussions.
- Provide accurate progress and quality status updates.
- Integrate automated tests into established CI/CD pipelines.
- Review test execution results and troubleshoot script or environment failures.
- Support reliable test execution across different environments.
- Participate in Agile planning, refinement, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Collaborate with developers, product partners, and senior Quality Engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in software testing or quality engineering.
- Exposure to test automation in an Agile environment.
- Foundational knowledge of software testing concepts, SDLC, STLC, and defect lifecycle.
- Hands-on experience with at least one automation framework such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or equivalent.
- Basic programming or scripting ability in Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, C#, or a comparable language.
- Ability to create and maintain clear test cases, test data, and automated scripts.
- Working knowledge of API testing and tools such as Postman or equivalent.
- Familiarity with source control and defect/work tracking tools.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage priorities, learn quickly, and deliver with guidance in a fast-paced Agile environment.
