Responsibilities
- Work across the stack on backend services powering the customer support chatbot and internal tools.
- Work hands-on with agent architecture using graphs, nodes, and state.
- Debug multi-step AI pipelines and identify root causes of failures.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to convert domain knowledge into usable system context.
- Build MCP servers on top of internal systems.
- Work on context engineering to improve grounded and reliable model responses.
- Build and analyze evaluations to measure AI output quality and catch regressions.
- Reason through trade-offs involving latency, accuracy, retrieval, context, prompts, and model selection.
- Use AI-assisted coding tools as part of the development workflow.
- Take ownership of specific parts of the AI assistant.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of LLM fundamentals including context windows, tokens, hallucinations, retrieval failures, embeddings, chunking, top-k retrieval, and structured outputs.
- At least one substantial AI/LLM project such as a chatbot, agent, or RAG pipeline.
- Experience with real API calls and real data in an AI/LLM project.
- Strong debugging instincts and ability to read logs and traces.
- Understanding of LLM evaluation methods such as test sets and regression checks.
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted coding tools.
- High attention to detail, curiosity, and a fail-fast mindset.
