What makes Productothon different from a hackathon?
Productothon emphasizes shipping a demonstrable product — not only slides or prototypes. Participants register, form teams, pick a build track, receive official problem statements, build for five days, and submit a working solution for evaluation.
What tracks can I build in?
Build tracks are announced from 15 October 2026. Tracks include AI and automation, education and career technology, fintech, healthcare and wellness, sustainability and social impact, productivity and developer tools, and open innovation. Choose your focus when you create or join an idea. Official problem statements publish at midnight IST on 30 October.
How is Productothon judged?
Proposed criteria (pending approval) weight problem understanding and solution (25%), execution and functionality (25%), innovation and originality (20%), design and UX (15%), and impact and scalability (15%). Final weights publish with official rules.
What do I need to submit?
Expect product name, category and problem statement, problem and solution write-ups, key features, tech stack, source-code link, live demo or prototype, demo video, pitch materials, and team details. Exact requirements publish with event rules.
Can non-developers join?
Yes. Productothon is open to designers, product managers, marketers, researchers, and innovators as well as engineers. Teams succeed with complementary skills.
